Where it began

One idea. A structural flaw worth fixing.

Experior started in 2014 with one engineer and one idea: to build a world-class team of IC test design experts in Malaysia — moving the ecosystem beyond basic manufacturing into high-value, upstream Design for Test (DfT).

The company began with no brand, no track record, and no revenue — a lean bootstrap operation focused strictly on the hardest part of the work: programming the silicon. By 2016, a team of six delivered a challenging two-year project, proving the concept and earning the trust that would define everything after.

But the deeper insight was structural. The traditional OSAT industry was held back by a reliance on consigned equipment — a model that left providers subservient to their customers and unable to innovate. The answer wasn’t another tool. It was a “master key” that unified deep technical IP with independent, high-end capacity.

The structural flaw

Traditional test providers run on equipment their customers fund and control. That leaves them with no excess capacity for new growth, locked into vendor-dependent knowledge, and unable to pivot toward high-growth entrants like AI and HPC.

ExSA exists to break that dependency — software built by people who own both the hardware and the expertise behind it.

The path to ExSA

From a single delivery to a unified automation platform.

The parent company started in 2014. The software platform has its own distinct origin — born inside our own test operations before it ever became a product.

2014

The bootstrap phase

Experior begins with one engineer and one idea — a lean effort focused entirely on IC test design, with no brand and no revenue.

2016

The first breakthrough

A team of six completes a demanding two-year project, proving the concept and earning early customer trust.

2017

The pivot — and a dedicated vehicle

Recognising the architectural limits of internal tooling, the team set out to build a modular, scalable design for broader commercial use. Experior Infosys Sdn Bhd was established to advance the work, and the core software team formed.

2019

Factory automation, proven internally

The first factory automation solutions go live — streamlining Experior’s own semiconductor test operations before reaching a single external customer.

Today

ExSA — Experior Smart Automation

A unified IR4.0 platform tracking 160+ pieces of equipment and 600+ active users, having processed over 10 billion data points across high-volume manufacturing and engineering lab environments.
